Stability Analyses

Geotechnical verification and numerical modelling for slope safety.

01

Kinematic Analyses and Calculation Methods

We develop numerical and analytical models tailored to the specific questions of stability analyses. The model is calibrated against field data, used to test relevant scenarios and subjected to sensitivity checks. The outputs support safety verification, comparison of alternatives and the transparent definition of design values and residual risks. Depending on the assignment, the work may use or refer to Slide2, GLE.

02

Finite-Element Modelling (FEM)

We develop numerical and analytical models tailored to the specific questions of stability analyses. The model is calibrated against field data, used to test relevant scenarios and subjected to sensitivity checks. The outputs support safety verification, comparison of alternatives and the transparent definition of design values and residual risks. Depending on the assignment, the work may use or refer to RS2, FEM.

03

Design of Retaining Structures

We design technically robust and constructible solutions for stability analyses, from preliminary concepts through detailed calculations and execution documents. Loads, ground conditions, serviceability, durability and construction sequence are considered together. Alternatives are compared so that safety, environmental impact, programme and cost remain proportionate to the project.

04

Expert Assessments and Risk-Management Support

We prepare independent technical assessments based on documented observations, calculations and applicable Swiss requirements. The conclusions are written so that clients, authorities, designers and legal advisers can understand the technical reasoning and its limitations. We can also support negotiations, administrative procedures, disputes and the implementation of agreed measures. Depending on the assignment, the work may use or refer to UFAM.
